How to Care for Jersey Fabric Products
Viscose products are valued for their smooth feel, gentle stretch, and elegant drape — making them ideal for comfortable, everyday wear. To maintain the fabric’s quality and softness, follow these care instructions.
Washing:
Viscose-elastane blends can be washed by hand or in a machine using cold or lukewarm water (30°C max) with mild detergent. Avoid bleach and strong chemicals, which can weaken the fibers and cause discoloration. Turn garments inside out to reduce friction and pilling, and wash with similar colors on a gentle cycle. Do not overload the machine.
Drying:
Air drying is best to preserve the fabric’s elasticity and shape. Lay flat on a clean towel or drying rack to prevent stretching. If using a dryer, choose a low heat setting, but avoid it when possible. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Ironing:
Viscose-elastane fabric may wrinkle slightly. Use a low-temperature iron (max 110°C) and iron inside out. Use steam cautiously, and avoid pressing too hard, as the fabric can stretch under heat. Often, smoothing the garment gently by hand while damp is sufficient.
Storage:
Store folded in a cool, dry, and breathable environment. Avoid hanging to prevent stretching. For long-term storage, use fabric bags instead of airtight plastic.
